Many people are suffering from pain. I’m not talking so much physical pain as in arthritis, or a sore ankle because you sprained it. I’m talking emotional pain. Where we are suffering day in and day out.
Pain like feeling helpless because you can’t stop over eating. Pain like feeling bitter because your parents didn’t spend much time with you when you were growing up. Pain like feeling stuck because your life is nothing like you want it to be.
We suffer day in and day out with this pain. But the good news is we don’t have to.
We don’t realize it, but all these emotional pains are attached to a thought. We tell ourselves a thought and then we feel the pain. Some emotional pain is sudden – like a loss of a loved one. But that it does not need to linger for years.
We as humans have learned how to be experts in trying not to feel our emotion pain. Yet we still feel it day in and day out. We put on our tough exteriors and go on with our day holding down our emotional pain, so we can go to our jobs, take our kids to soccer, or do whatever else we need to do each day.
But what if you could go about your everyday activities without feeling that emotional pain?
So how do you do that? You start by actually noticing and feeling your emotional pain. When you actually notice it by feeling where it is in your body, you notice the sensations, then the pain can begin to pass.
We have been conditioned to try and not feel our pain, but it is only when we actually do feel and acknowledge that pain, that our pain can then pass.
